Study Skills | October 8th at 3:00PM: Participants will acquire effective test-taking strategies aimed at improving performance and reducing anxiety during exams. This workshop provides students with valuable techniques for preparing for exams and managing stress, ensuring they leave with a toolkit of supportive strategies. Zoom Link
Dealing with Stress | October 15th at 3:00PM: Participants will delve into the art of recognizing stressors that often lurk in the corners of our daily lives. Through engaging sessions, individuals will gain the tools and knowledge needed to pinpoint these stress triggers, whether they be work-related pressures, personal challenges, or external factors. Introduction to SNAP: Facilitated by CAMBA | October 22nd at 3:00PM: The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) offers electronic benefits that work like cash for food purchases. This workshop will explore how SNAP helps low-income individuals, senior citizens, and people with disabilities access nutritious meals for their families. Zoom Link
COLLEGE CONNECTION INITIATIVE (CCI)
The goal of College Connections Initiative is to assist BEOC students and the community in becoming familiar with the college application process, selecting the appropriate college and major, financing and scholarship opportunities, and becoming familiar with the overall college environment. Workshop Schedule
College Essay | October 15th at 6:00PM: This workshop teaches students how to brainstorm, structure, draft, and revise essays that express their distinct core values. Students will learn how to tell a story that highlights their unique character, and how they are a perfect match for their university of choice. Zoom Link
Paying For College | October 29th at 6:00PM: This workshop will guide students in identifying various types and sources of financial aid, while helping you understand the necessary steps to take before starting college. Zoom Link
ACADEMIC AFFAIRS
Student academic success is important to us at BEOC. In order to assist all students in completing their programs, various academic and learning resources are made available. These resources include individual/group tutoring, and open labs for practice in skills development and completing assignments. Academic and learning resources are supported by the Office of Academic Affairs.

CAREER RESOURCES WORKSHOPS
The Career Services staff provides career advisement and placement assistance to students and graduates. In doing so, they deem it necessary to schedule events and activities that address students’ career needs and goals. Visit the Career Resources page for more information.
