Dear Students, Partners, and Community Members,
I am Dr. Gerald Maître, the new Executive Director of the Brooklyn Educational Opportunity Center (BEOC), and it is my pleasure to welcome you to our website. As someone who hails from the Brooklyn Brownsville neighborhood, I am deeply connected to the community we serve and am honored to lead an institution that has been transforming lives since 1966.
At BEOC, our mission is to provide access and opportunity to New York State residents, creating a well-trained and educated workforce ready to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Our tuition-free programs, funded by the State of New York, offer skills-based career and technical training, academic preparation, and workforce development. These programs are designed to support your journey towards employment and higher education.
