Career Programs

BEOC career and short-term programs prepare students for state or national industry certification credentials and entry-level jobs. Students who do not have industry related experience can access internship opportunities to gain on the job training and experience. While enrolled, students engage in career development activities with career advisors, and can participate in internships and externships for employment experience.

Note: A high school diploma or equivalency is required for all career programs, except for Security Guard Training. Prior work experience and training are also considered for admission if applicants do not meet TABE score requirements. Applicants without a diploma may enroll in the High School Equivalency Program, and upon completion, transfer to a career program.

Program durations may vary, and the listed modules and courses are provided as a guide and are not final.

Modules 1, 2, and 3 are all required components of the BEOC program. Each module is graded and must be successfully completed to graduate, be recognized as a program completer, and qualify for certification testing. Module 3, in particular, is not optional or separate-it is an essential part of the program sequence. Completion is determined by passing all required courses across all modules, not by the number of weeks attended.
