ESOL Fundamentals: We Speak NYC
We Speak NYC is a conversational course based on a ten-episode Emmy-award winning video series. The episodes address issues such as health care, healthy lifestyles, education, and finance management. The program is offered in collaboration with the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs and focuses on New York City resources. Students also have access to a computer-based practice lab. At the end of the program, students re-test to advance to other ESOL levels.
ESOL Intermediate and Advanced
The Intermediate and Advanced levels of ESOL help students to improve their English language skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening in order to continue their education or gain employment. Students focus on academic and work-related vocabulary. Both levels include computer-aided instruction. At the Advanced Level, students also take an Introduction to Computer course that leads to certification in Microsoft Digital Literacy.
